Under project ‘Sakhi’ around 50 rural women from Rajasthan made beautiful ensembles which took months and days of hardwork. I was awestruck to see these beautifully crafted garments by rural women of Rajasthan. Ensembles were styled with bold and stylish statement jewels which definitely increased the glamour quotient. These Banjaran jewelleries are designed by Silver Centree,Jaipur which perfectly juxtaposes with these ethnic outfits.
Event- ‘Sakhi’ Fashion show by Vedanta Hindustan Zinc
‘Sakhi’ is an initiative taken by Vedanta Hindustan Zinc regarding women empowerment. They believe when you empower a rural women, socially and economically, she bring prosperity in her family, village and ultimately the entire country and I completely agree with them. Once the rural and tribal women are part of ‘Sakhi’ they are groomed and trained in non-Farm based activities that included tailoring, stitching, tie & dye, meenakari, terracotta, embroidery, artificial jewellery making, etc.
Supermodels like Lakshmi Rana, Sonalika Sahay and Femina Miss IndiaKoyal Rana walked the ramp in creations by rural & tribal women at ‘Sakhi’, presenting a line of ethnic wear. The show was choreographed by ace choreographer Rashmi Virmani and make-up was done by Anu Mehra. Front row witnessed the veteran fashion designers like Anand Bhushan,Jattinn Kochhar, Rajdeep Ranawat and princess Diya Kumari was the cheif guest.
‘Put your white foot forward’ seems to be the perfect line for fashionistas at AIFW S/S 2016. White sneakers are definitely the shoe of the moment. But the question here arises are we over-doing it? Though it works great with many styles I observed at fashion week but we being creative people always find different stuff which makes us stand out of crowd as fancy. Have a look at this photoseries I shot at Amazon India Fashion Week.
Street Style at fashion week always surprises you with innovative ways of wearing a same piece in different ways. So here in this post am focusing on men seen at fashion week in classic blazers.

White can be boring for someone or classy for some. But this time white proved to be whimsical and totally unpredictable the way fashionistas present at Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016, New Delhi styled the classic color in different ways.
