Models Off duty-Street Style-Lakme Fashion Week

Well! we all love what models wear on the runway, thousands of pictures are taken of the beautiful outfits on the catwalk, get published in ‘n’ number of magazines & newspapers but not much is mentioned about model’s off duty style. I was very much fascinated by the idea of capturing the models in their true style, focusing on what they wear off duty, when they are not on the runway, how they dress up & also was keen on capturing some candid moments on the street.Like a true paparazzi or say like a style stalker I followed the models on the streets to investigate their personal style. What’s your favorite model off duty style? Mention in the comment section below.

So here is a major throwback to last season of Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 16.

P.S. it’s a long post with over 40 images, so keep scrolling 😉

Street Style – Hair

I will start this blog post with the famous quote by legendary actress Joan Crawford “I think that the most important thing a woman can have-next to talent , of course is her hairdresser.”

Well which clearly tells how important hairstyles are, right hairstyle can add much needed panache to a simple outfit. There is another famous quote which tells the importance of a hairstyle is by American actor Christopher Walken who once said “my hair was famous before I was.”

In India Bollywood remains the strongest fashion inspiration for common people on the streets. However at this year’s Jaipur Literature Festival saw people in some of the most intriguing hairstyles. Talk about color, texture, length & volume people at ZEE JLF had it all.

So here is a photo essay I shot at this year’s Jaipur Literature Festival. The most interesting part is these people are not fashion celebrities , they are common people, tourists, delegates who have traveled to the city of Jaipur exclusively to attend the literature festival. I was so impressed to see lot of people experimenting with their hairstyles. So are you looking out for some hair inspiration?
