Backstage-The Hottest Male Model Portraits

Since Rajasthan Heritage Week 2016 was full of crafts & celebrating the handmade in Rajasthan, the day 2 of the fashion week seems to be entirely dedicated to the handcrafted indian saree. The fashion week overall was high on womenswear but what grabbed the attention of the female attendees majorly were the handsome indian male models donning the 6 yards of grace (saree) with lot of panache & confidence. It was interesting to see how handcrafted sarees by the national awarded weavers were draped on male models, taking inspiration from ancient indian saree drapes.Talk about sarees as stole or sarees with denims, it included all the major possible experiments with 6 yards of fabric but on a male model body this time . So here is a small black & white photo essay celebrating the beauty of indian men in saree, which is very rare & completely deserves the attention.

Well once Vidya Balan said “Saree is the only garment which covers the right amount & shows the right amount” . Does that applies on men too?

Photoessay-Rajasthan Style Fest 16

Pink city’s fashion enthusiasts came together to celebrate last day of Rajasthan Style Fest. The fashion extravaganza saw endless talent display from Paris Fashion Week designer Felix Bendish to Lakme Fashion Week’s Chirag Nainani, from city’s top models  to celebrity showstoppers, the show had it all. What also caught my attention was the unique styling especially the braided hairdos on models looked very verve. The show director & stylist Abhimanyu Singh Tomar successfully bought fashion & style factor together in the Jaipur city to celebrate the last day of Rajasthan style fest. While designer Felix Bendish had everyone captivated with his exaggerated & eccentric accessories, city’s very own designer Gazal Mishra went all patriotic with her line on handloom fabrics, saw models dressed in tricolor (which is a rare sight to see in a fashion event).

I placed my myself backstage(like always) to have a closer look at designer’s creation & also I have a thing for backstage photography which not only allows me to get candid with the models but also to explore a whole new different area of photography. Somehow I also managed to capture some action from the runway too.

The Fashion i-Workshop- Pearl Academy

Last week was full of fun & was completely memorable as I had this wonderful opportunity to do a collaborative fashion visual making workshop with photographer Tarun Garg at Pearl Academy, Jaipur. It was completely a different experience as I graduated two years back from Pearl Academy & now conducting this workshop with the students of the academy as a guest faculty. The 3 day workshop included lot of fun activities & of course the best part was photoshoots. It was interesting to see new students coming up with fresh ideas & even more fun was to guide them throughout the whole project & also to work so closely with the upcoming designers.

I won’t say much but I was impressed with the enthusiasm of the students & here is how we worked together on this workshop.
