IISW season 2 (India International Style Week) day 1 saw grand opening by accessory designer Felix Bendish. Felix showcased his autumn/winter 2017 Ready-To-Wear collection which was also presented earlier this year at London fashion week . The collection merged accessories & clothing together. Felix is also know for mixing humour with fashion. The statements pieces were quite eye popping & were all handcrafted. The show was choreographed by show director Abhimanyu Singh Tomar. So here are some exclusive behind the scenes images I shot at backstage. I will also be posting the backstage highlights from day 2 of IISW in my next post. Till than enjoy this post.

It was 10th anniversary of the most awaited event of the year i.e. Jaipur Literature Festival 2017. This was my 5th year at JLF & I was very much excited, I was literally preparing for it for a week to be precise. The Lit fest plays a silent role in staging street fashion of people from around the globe & a great platform to exchange ideas with people from all walks of life. This year as I was shooting photo stories for various publications, that allowed me to meet like minded folks & to know a bit about them.
So here are my top 10 picks of best of street style at Zee Jlf. Please comment below & let me know your thoughts about this photo story.

Pink city’s fashion enthusiasts came together to celebrate last day of Rajasthan Style Fest. The fashion extravaganza saw endless talent display from Paris Fashion Week designer Felix Bendish to Lakme Fashion Week’s Chirag Nainani, from city’s top models to celebrity showstoppers, the show had it all. What also caught my attention was the unique styling especially the braided hairdos on models looked very verve. The show director & stylist Abhimanyu Singh Tomar successfully bought fashion & style factor together in the Jaipur city to celebrate the last day of Rajasthan style fest. While designer Felix Bendish had everyone captivated with his exaggerated & eccentric accessories, city’s very own designer Gazal Mishra went all patriotic with her line on handloom fabrics, saw models dressed in tricolor (which is a rare sight to see in a fashion event).
I placed my myself backstage(like always) to have a closer look at designer’s creation & also I have a thing for backstage photography which not only allows me to get candid with the models but also to explore a whole new different area of photography. Somehow I also managed to capture some action from the runway too.

Pearl Academy, Jaipur witnessed another trendy season of their annual event Portfolio 2016. The event showcased creations by the graduating batch of fashion design & jewellery design on the ramp & textile design along with the first batch of Interior design presented their work in the exhibition before the runway show. The show was choreographed by ace choreographer Rashmi Virmani of The Ramp. Top models like Donna Masih, Radhika Bopaiah, Rinku Pahel & Saud Khan to name a few graced the runway in students’ creations. Veteran designer Rina Dhaka was the chief guest of the event.
Here are few of the best designs by the graduating batch of Pearl Academy, Jaipur.

We see them on runway channeling attitude & personality according to the designer’s theme & collection. But what is the real side of fashion models? what they like? how they dress up off the ramp? These were the certain questions I had in my mind, so I stalked the top models of our country for 5 days during Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 16 & this photo essay is the answer. I didn’t want the models to pose for this photo story particularly looking into the camera (like we see in most of the fashion publications & websites) so I just followed them like a paparazzi.
Of course they look amazing on ramp but it’s their off duty style which tells a bit about their personality & the style they follow, isn’t that interesting? Have a look.

And spotted few male models with interesting style.
Want to live the 60s hippie culture now? Pushkar city of Rajasthan is the right place to re-live the 60s youth movement. From people in dreadlocks to tie-dye T-shirts you will find it all here. Special recommendation to visit the city during Pushkar Fair which generally happens in the month of November(this year the dates are 8th Nov to 15th Nov 2016).
This street Style photo story is about the tourists I captured in candid moments at Pushkar Fair 2015.

At the end all I can say is I LOVE PUSHKAR & would love to spend more time in this city whenever I re-visit it.
